Terms & Conditions of Flower School Membership
1. About these terms
These terms apply to your subscription to Suzanne Esper Flower School (the ‘Membership’), supplied by Suzanne Esper Limited, Barncluith Business Centre, Townhead Street, Hamilton, ML3 7DP (‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’). Please read them before joining. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by these terms. If any provision conflicts with rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, those rights take priority.
2. What Flower School is
Flower School is an online learning membership for people interested in making realistic decorative flowers, including sugar flowers and wafer paper flowers. It is suitable for different experience levels, although individual lessons may require particular tools or prior skills. The Membership is educational and is not a professional qualification or a promise of any particular artistic or commercial result.
3. Building the school together
The Membership is being launched as a growing school, rather than a completed library. Founding members understand that the content, categories and community features will develop over time. We welcome suggestions and feedback, but cannot promise to implement individual requests. Previously released Christmas tutorials are intended to be added during the launch period, subject to availability. The first new lesson is planned for 19 November 2026; dates may change for reasonable operational reasons, in which case members will be informed.
4. Our minimum teaching commitment
While your subscription is active, we will provide at least one new flower-making lesson and one additional member Q&A session each calendar month. Over each 12-month programme year, at least three of the monthly lessons will be larger, more substantial flower-making projects. These may involve multiple techniques, flowers or arrangements and may be delivered in stages. The three larger projects form part of the minimum twelve monthly lessons rather than being additional lessons. Lessons and Q&A sessions may be live, pre-recorded, written, or delivered in a combination of formats, depending on the subject and what best serves members. We will share relevant dates and access details through the Membership platform or email. The timing, duration and format of individual sessions may vary.
5. Recordings, resources and access
We aim to make recordings of live lessons and Q&A sessions available to active members where technically feasible and appropriate. Recordings may be unavailable because of technical failure, privacy considerations or other reasonable circumstances. Supporting resources may include reference images, templates, downloadable guides and demonstrations; not every lesson will have a download. Access is provided through our chosen membership platform Teachery and may be affected by reasonable maintenance or third-party outages. All membership lessons, recordings, resources and community access are available only while your paid subscription remains active, unless expressly stated otherwise. They are not lifetime-access purchases.
6. Community and participation
Members may use the private Flower School community to introduce themselves, ask questions, share progress and offer constructive feedback. Please communicate respectfully; do not harass, discriminate against, intimidate or spam other members, post unlawful material, or advertise unrelated services without permission. Do not share other members’ private information or redistribute their images or posts outside the community without permission. We may moderate content and take proportionate action, including warnings, suspension or termination for serious or repeated breaches, subject to applicable law.
7. Questions and support
The monthly Q&A is intended for general flower-making questions and group learning, not guaranteed one-to-one coaching. It may be delivered live, by recording, in writing, or through a combination of formats. We may answer questions in the community when practical, but do not promise immediate responses or individual feedback on every post. For account or technical issues, please email support@suzanneespercakeschool.com, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm UK time. Please use email rather than private messages, which can get lost or delayed. We aim to respond within 24–48 hours during working days.
8. Membership prices and recurring payments
Founding-member pricing is £12 per month or £120 per year, as selected at checkout, unless a different price is clearly shown before purchase. The monthly plan renews monthly and the annual plan renews annually until cancelled. The payment method and renewal date will be shown at checkout or in your account. We will clearly disclose any future changes to recurring charges and provide notice and cancellation options required by applicable law. Founding-member pricing remains available while the original qualifying subscription is maintained without interruption; cancelling and later rejoining does not guarantee the same rate.
9. Founding-member shop discount
Active founding members receive an exclusive 15% discount on eligible full-priced physical products in Suzanne Esper’s online shop, using the code or other member verification method provided. Sale or reduced items, postage, gift vouchers and certain other products are excluded; any additional exclusions will be clearly identified in the shop or at checkout before purchase. The discount cannot be combined with other discount codes or offers. It is personal to the active founding member, must not be shared or transferred, and ends when their qualifying membership ends. We may change the code or verification method to prevent misuse, without removing the stated benefit for eligible products. https://www.suzanneespercakeschool.com/product-categories
10. Affiliate programme
We intend to introduce an optional affiliate programme in 2027, potentially covering membership subscriptions, courses and shop products. This is a future plan, not a guaranteed part of the present subscription. Participation, commission rates, eligibility and payment rules will be governed by separate affiliate terms when launched. Members participating in affiliate marketing must clearly disclose commercial relationships in accordance with applicable advertising rules.
11. Materials, equipment and safe use
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the subscription does not include physical tools or equipment. Members are responsible for checking equipment suitability and safe handling of wires, cutters and other materials used in their projects. Teaching content is general guidance and members should use their judgement and follow manufacturer instructions and applicable food-safety requirements.
12. Intellectual property and permitted use
We retain ownership of our lessons, videos, downloadable materials, photographs, branding and other original content (or use them under licence). Active members receive a personal, non-transferable licence to access and use membership materials for their own learning and flower-making while subscribed. You may use techniques learned in your own work, including commercial cake or flower-making work, but you may not copy, resell, distribute, record, upload, share logins for, or teach directly from our protected lesson materials without written permission. Members retain ownership of their own original photographs and creations. We may ask permission to feature a member’s work in our marketing or on social media; we will not use identifiable member photographs for promotional purposes without their permission. Any agreed credit or attribution will be discussed when permission is requested.
13. Cancellation and consumer rights
14-day cooling-off period. You may cancel your membership within 14 days of your initial purchase without giving a reason. To request cancellation during this period, email support@suzanneespercakeschool.com clearly stating that you wish to cancel. We will provide any refund due in accordance with applicable consumer law, normally within 14 days of receiving your cancellation request. Your membership provides immediate access to digital learning materials, community features and ongoing teaching services. Where you have expressly requested immediate access, any lawful deduction for services supplied before cancellation may apply, but only where permitted by consumer law and the necessary information and consent requirements have been met.
Cancelling after the cooling-off period. You can cancel future renewals at any time using the cancellation button in your Flower School customer account on Teachery or by emailing support@suzanneespercakeschool.com. Cancellation stops future renewal charges, provided the cancellation process is completed before the next payment is due. Monthly members normally retain access until the end of their current paid monthly period. Annual members normally retain access until the end of their current paid annual period, even if they cancel renewal earlier. Access to lessons, recordings, resources, community and founding-member benefits ends when the paid membership period ends. We do not ordinarily offer refunds for unused portions of a subscription outside applicable statutory cancellation periods, except where required by law.
Recurring payments. Memberships renew automatically according to the monthly or annual plan selected at checkout unless cancelled. We will provide any cancellation information, renewal notices and additional cooling-off rights required by applicable subscription and consumer protection legislation.
Your statutory rights. Nothing in these terms limits or removes your statutory consumer rights, including rights relating to services or digital content that are not provided as described or with the legally required standard of care and skill.
14. Changes, postponements and ending the Membership
We may reasonably adjust lesson subjects, schedules, platforms and community features as the school develops, provided we continue to deliver the stated core teaching commitments. If illness, emergencies or technical problems require a session to move, we will notify members and aim to rearrange it within a reasonable time. If we permanently close the Membership or cannot deliver paid-for services, we will explain the arrangements and provide any refund or remedy required by law. Material changes to the subscription will be communicated in advance where required.
15. Privacy and confidentiality
We handle personal data in accordance with our privacy policy at https://www.suzanneespercakeschool.com/privacy-policy. Our platform, payment processor and email provider may process information to operate the Membership. Please do not disclose private information shared by other members without permission. The community is a shared space, so do not post information you would not want other members to see.
16. Complaints and contact
For membership questions, technical support, accessibility concerns or complaints, email support@suzanneespercakeschool.com or write to Suzanne Esper Limited, Barncluith Business Centre, Townhead Street, Hamilton, ML3 7DP. Our support hours are Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm UK time, and we aim to respond within 24–48 hours during working days. We will consider complaints fairly and seek to resolve them reasonably. These terms do not prevent you from using any legal or consumer remedies available to you.
17. General terms
If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply. We may update these terms for legitimate legal, technical or operational reasons, giving notice where appropriate; we will not use changes to remove statutory rights or unfairly alter essential paid-for benefits. Governing law and jurisdiction are subject to applicable mandatory consumer protections, including those that may apply to consumers living outside Scotland.
